...as a follow up, I totally blame my parents for making me think that there was some magical day when everyone grew up and I'd stop having to deal with pettiness, immaturity, irresponsibility, and everything else people always blamed on being kids. I was always raised to take responsibility for myself and everything I did (even if it wasn't on purpose) and reassured that everyone else would eventually get there too. Group project, you're the only one who does all the work? Don't worry, it'll be better when you grow up. Someone making fun of you for no reason at all? Doesn't happen after High School. Lying/Cheating/Stealing? Well, KIDS are like that.

Well so the fuck are adults, only they don't have parents who can punish them anymore.
