Album, i'd have to go with Purple Rain, more naughtiness to those songs.
But when the video question rolls arounds, look out. Even after my really bad zombie experience at con, you know how i roll. Plus timelessness and Vincent Price.
Strictly about the songs - Eventually somebody is going to redo Purple Rain, i hate the day someone tries Thriller.
well both albums are good...but since i was in elementary school and quite a youngin' - i could sing along to Michael with everyone from my grandmom to the kids on the playground without getting into trouble.
Prince..well...Purple Rain was a movie my folks were NOT going to let me see until i was just over 40! (but thankfully my cousins had cable and almost no parental supervision!)
Purple Rain has the memory of when me and 10 of my closest friends piled into my '69 Plymoth Fury and drove to ATL from W. GA...(which oddly took 2 hours there and 3 1/2 back) we danced in the ailes, made out in the balcony, became hood ornaments... *sigh* good times....
though THriller was THE album in the dance clubs we went to as well and where, ya know, we danced, made out,etc etc...

Um.
Honestly, Purple Rain, because, because...at the time me and all my friends were so damn into it, so there are all these memories rooted around it.
But Thriller was masterful. Except that thing he did with Paul McCartney. That was bad.
