It strikes me as kind of opposite to the medieval dichotomy of mind/body..... now it's going the other way? Have we ever been so focused on the body as an outward sign of success? I'm welcoming input from interested people here. We seem to be splitting material bodily things from the spiritual/intellectual/emotion aspects more than we ever have ( Read more... )

So I get home, open the the ABC News page, and up this pops.... I don't understand why so many women (and some men) do this....? The pressure on us to improve our bodies - to strive for physical (and never mental or spiritual) perfection... is incredible.....
