Your comment literally made my week, you know! I'm so very flattered that a) you read this fic, after all these years (I still get notifications from LJ about it), and b) that you not only left a comment, but such a generous and thoughtful one, at that!

I remember when I wrote it that I got rather tired of all the portrayals of Yukimura as this weak, pathetic, almost feminine character, and so, throughout this fic (and others) I purposely wrote Yukimura as he seemed to me in the series--initially a very ill teenager, but who, toward the end of the series, recovered, and is, in fact, the best young and male tennis player out there. Just because he's not into martial arts (like Sanada) doesn't mean he can't be boyish in his own way! So I'm glad that you got that, and that you liked my portrayal of him
