"Where are you going?"

The question startles her, and she stops, just in front of the door.

"What?" she asks, turning to look at him.

"Where are you going, Chlo?" he asks again, looking a little sad. "I thought we were having dinner together tonight."

She glances at the kitchen table, where the dishes and silverware are all laid out, nice and neat.

She frowns a bit, tilting her head. She had promised him. But then again, Clark knew how she was about her work. He had to understand... even if it involved the one person he didn't really want her around right now.

"You think we could have it a little late?"

"Sure... why, what's up?" he asks, putting a dish towel down on the kitchen counter.

"Uh, well, Jimmy called, and he, uh, needs a favor..." She stumbles through the statement, worrying about his reaction, and trails off as she sees the look on his face.

He looks like a hurt puppy, as if he's still jealous of her ex. Which she probably should have expected.

"Jimmy? What does Jimmy need?" he wonders aloud, and she can detect a bit of worry in his voice.

She shrugs, shooting him a small smile. "You know Jimmy... he has to have my opinion on every picture he takes. He still says, 'Your words, my pictures'. We do make a good match... but only professionally speaking."

He's frowning. He still feels insecure, she knows it. This whole thing, their whole relationship, is still new to him. He knows good and well she brushed him off once before for the nerdy little photographer. It took her a while to realize what she really wanted, but in the end, she'd chosen Clark. And even though she knows how much he trusts her, she's sure he's wondering if he could lose her to Jimmy again.

"Just professionally?"

"Just professionally." she assures him.

Before he can speak, she walks over, putting her bag down on the counter.

She leans up on her tiptoes, and manages to plant a soft kiss on his lips.

She smiles up at him sweetly as she moves back. "I'm yours now, Clark. Not his. Try to remember that, okay?"

A grin slowly stretches over his lips, and he suddenly looks much more content, a little more confident. "Okay."

"Keep it warm for me?" she asks, grabbing her bag again.

He nods as she makes her way to the door. "You can count on it."
