Not Always Good

So I gave this to my beta with the words 'I wrote this yesterday but I think it's weird, not sure if I'll post it'. But then I put it on Tumblr and three people liked it so it must be okay :P It doesn't have too much of a plot but the whole convo just popped into my head a few days ago and I was like: That is so my Lois, I have to write it. Very nice indeed. Loved that Lois would recognized what was going on and was able to pick up on subtle remarks. I imagine it's hard to do that with so many kids around, but Lois really is a good mother!

Thanks, Lois is a brilliant mother, despite what she sometimes thinks :P She did overreact slightly here but as we said, she is a mother :P

Awww!! So glad Lois could get that point across to Sophie. :) Seems like all Lois's daughters in all verses have trouble not being exactly like her. ^_~

I actually think here it's more Lois having trouble :P Sophie would love to be like the Mom she knows now, but Lois worries far too much that means she'd have to go through being her as a teenager too (or, to put it another way- Lois is a mother :P). In my other 'verse it's Lois again having trouble with her (in this case only-)daughter but this time over her not being like her at all- she worries can't relate to a girl who likes ponies and pink and frilly dresses :P

(Actually, tbh, this fic was supposed to be all about Lois overreacting and being her still-uncertain-she's-a-good-mother self but from the reviews I think I did make it too much about Sophie...)

That's a sweet story. Sophie really is a lot like her mother and I like how Lois worries about her making the same mistakes.

I like that these two have a relationship in wich they can talk so open to each other. It's worth a lot.

Thanks! Yeah, Sophie loves being like Mom, though as she points out, she's her own person above all, though really, she's not much like her mother was as a teenager at all but Lois is so paranoid about being a good mother (even though she doesn't need to worry at all really :P).

They do have a good relationship. I've kind of imagine the type of parents Lois and Clark would be they type where their kids can talk to them about almost anything (some things always remain off limits to parents though... :P).
