Of all the news for Peter to get, a report that someone was looking for him was not one that he expected. He'd entertained the thought, sure, but with each day he started to believe that if nobody was looking for him then maybe it was for the best.

If Sam had been thinking clearly, he wouldn't have been surprised when he walked into the pub and saw the guy from his vision, a guy named Ricky, apparently. As it was, he wasn't surprised when Ricky didn't look surprised to see him - word traveled fast in this day and age, and Sam hadn't exactly made his presence quiet. As tempted as Sam was to make this quick, to just shove Ricky against a wall and make him tell Sam whatever he wanted to know, the memory of his vision ( ... )

"Maybe I should get that," Peter said.
"Not until we know what we're dealing with," Caitlin said. She motioned towards a spot where Peter could be out of sight of the doorway. "Go. I'll take care of this."
"What if there's trouble?" Peter asked.
Caitlin reached into a drawer and pulled out a pistol. "I'll find a way to manage."
Peter wasn't sure about this, but he told himself he'd be right there if Caitlin needed him. He went to the spot she'd indicated and nodded when he was ready.
Caitlin held her gun in such a way that it was ready, but hidden by her skirt. She opened the door just enough to see who it was. She tried to keep her expression neutral, but she failed when she saw that the person on the other side was the same person in Peter's painting. Words temporarily failed her.
