Peter had had a rather busy week. Luckily on Thursday he didn't have any classes, which allowed him to kick back in his room and relax with the latest 9th Wonders.

While nice to hear, Isabel had a feeling there was a story behind the message Peter had left for her. So after class on Thursday, she pulled out her phone and dialed Peter's number.

Peter looked at the caller ID and smiled when he saw who it was. He clicked the button to answer. "Isabel! Hey!"

Isabel could probably hear Peter's sigh. Particularly since it was loud and sulky. "I have to take it off later. Sam made me promise."

"He's threatening to blackmail Sam," Peter said. "I'm not going to let him go on thinking he can get away with that for long."

"With what? Sam's so straight he could be a ruler." It was a sign that Isabel's view on normal was way too skewed by her time in Fandom that she didn't even make the connection to the family business.

Still, the guy sounded like a jerk. "I could always ask Wyatt to grab the idiot and drop him off somewhere without cell service. Like maybe the Gobi desert?"

"Raincheck?" Peter asked, entirely seriously. "Especially since that sounds more practical than me setting him on fire."

Yeah Fandom really did skew one's perspective.
