Surprised for a moment, it took him a moment to react, but once he does he gave Billy a big hug. He is really quite cold. Pushing the door closed behind them before giving Billy's arms a good rub.

"It's not that cold."

He's in a t-shirt, jeans, and bare feet.

"Yeah, well. I walked here." But he's pleased with the hug, and he's beaming up at Teddy. "And okay, I don't like the cold," he add, hefting his textbooks and a bag of comics.

He disengages just enough so they can walk side-to-side. "Also, new comics for you. Well, not exactly for you. For you to read, anyway."

"Duly noted."

Could Billy be any more cute? Teddy wrapped an arm around his shoulders and lead him upstairs, removing some books from his arms with the other hand.

"You're wonderful, my brain is way too full of biology right now."

He releases the books after a moment of protest. Ted may be huge but that's no excuse for him to not carry his own books, in his opinion, but up he goes. The University Dorm is much nicer than the ones at the private school, which always involve a roommate and smells that shouldn't exist in nature.

"I just finished studying bio with Kate, who, by the way, wants to meet you." Billy doesn't embellish on this. "Just be glad it's not my brother."

He's just being a nice boyfriend, it doesn't have anything to do with size. Well, maybe a little, but he's allowed to be protective. Getting good marks in high school guaranteed Teddy a spot in a single room, for which he is very grateful at moments like these. Meeting the friends, though, gives him a little pause before unlocking his bedroom door and going in. That's one step from meeting family, after all.

"So she's okay with it? With us?"

He's not sure if he wants to ask if Billy's brother knows about their relationship.

Billy wouldn't let anyone else be protective. After all, he feels the need to stand up for himself, too. But so far, it's okay, and when Teddy opens the door to his dorm he makes a beeline for the chair. "She said she's fine with it. She also said it was a rumor that I was dating someone in college." He ducks his head, a little, not embarrassed but a little bit flushed.

"But she does want to meet you. You know she's kind of like my sister. Except not."

The idea of Tommy meeting Teddy makes Billy sigh internally.

Of course if he knew it bothered him Teddy would never do it intentionally. Dropping the textbooks on his immaculate desk beside his laptop, Ted flops down onto the twin bed and stares at Billy a bit incredulously.

"There are rumours?"

Why yes, he's stalling a bit on answering whether or not he's okay with meeting Kate, but he's also legitimately hung up on this point.

Billy isn't bothered as much as he is worried. After all his twin is a special kind of snowflake, or something like that. Billy tucks his legs up, and nods a little, a tiny bit of guilt creeping into his face. Is Teddy embarrassed? He decides against asking.

"Yeah, apparently? I asked her what it is, but she said it was just that I was dating a college student."

He shifted a little bit in the chair. "I mean I don't want you to think I'm embarrassed or anything."

He's not - well, he is a little bit embarrassed because he is dating someone younger, but he shouldn't be. Teddy doesn't want Billy to feel awkward, but right now he looks like the picture of defensiveness.

"So long as they aren't saying anything bad it doesn't matter. I just know how weird it can be when people start talking about you."

He gives Billy a little private smile.

Billy scratches the back of his head a little, and looks a little sheepish at the smile. Billy isn't embarrassed as much as he's careful; he doesn't want anyone to think that Teddy is taking advantage of him. That and he's not looking forward to the comments at school, considering the rumor that he's gay is already out, and it's an all-boys school.

"It's just weird that they know over at Trinity. I mean, I don't know why I'm the talk of an all-girl's school, except that my best friend is the Archery captain."

Teddy is concerned that Billy is concerned. He already has enough moments of guilt about maybe taking advantage of Billy without someone else maybe bringing it up. And he definitely isn't going to bring up the possibility that it's the "best friend" who started the rumours; just because his "best friend" turned out to be a complete douchebag doesn't mean Billy's is.

"Is it going to be okay? Should we take a break until it cools down?"

He really hopes they aren't going to have to take a break, but he'd be willing to wait. Sad to say, but Billy is his first real relationship and it already feels like he wouldn't ever need another one.

He felt his heart speed up at the mention of 'a break' and he shakes his head quickly, almost violently. "No!" he protests, almost a little too loudly. "No break," he says afterwards, a little more calmly.

"And she's not angry, she just wants to meet you and she told me that she wouldn't go all superhero on your or anything so trust me that isn't a problem and it'll be okay."

Billy is pretty sure that was just one long sentence. He hopes that his face isn't as red as he thinks it might be.

Teddy let out a long sigh of relief when Billy protested the break idea. His relieved smile turns into a bit of a snicker, though, when Billy turns red. He's entirely unable to keep sitting so far away without touching, so he reaches out to hook the computer chair and drags it over to the edge of the bed so he can cup Billy's cheek with his palm.

"I trust you. I'd love to meet her."

As if he can ever say no in the first place, and he's been wanting for them to be more out about their relationship anyways. There's really no problem, except he's going to be nervous as hell.

"Hey," Billy says, protesting the snicker. "I just, okay, well, you know."

The mental translation ran something to the effect of, I just found you, I like you to the point where I'm pretty sure I love you, Kate isn't getting between me and you and okay I admit I love you. But the words weren't going to come out that way, and his blush softens, along with his smile.

"So bio got you down?"

Teddy's smile softens to match.

"Yeah."

It's supposed to mean I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you too, and he backs it up by leaning up just enough to give Billy a little kiss on the lips. And now that's settled they can move onto other things.

"It just makes my brain feel like it's going to slosh out my ears if I lean over too far."
