They're called Autobots. And it's Optimus Prime. And they left a lot more than just 1 little tag. They left a lot open for a sequel. 1.) The message that Optimus Prime sent to all autobots at the end. 2.) Starscream (the jet) leaving to go find more Decepticons. 3.) Putting Megatron and the rest of them at the bottom of the ocean would NOT crush the metal, it's much stronger than our metal, it can handle those pressures. And the main boy character didn't put the All-Spark exactly IN his chest, but he put it close enough to cause a disruption. And keeping Megatron at the bottom of the ocean would only freeze him because of the cold temperatures. 4.) There were a lot of autobots and decepticons that didn't show up in the movie that were big favorites of the fans. Like, Hot Rod, for example. They HAVE to make a sequel to bring those ones in.
Just my 2 cents... and Sean's too because he helped point out all that to me.
True, and I did consider most of those (I watched the cartoon when I was very wee and small, and honestly can't remember anything about it except the mechanical "Trans-form-ers" in the theme song, so I don't really remember any of the characters), but honestly, unless there is a huge fan uprising the likes of which got X-Files and Firefly a movie, I really don't think there will be a sequel. I don't think it will make enough in the box office.

It would be fun if they did make one, though.
