Hehehe. I don't have these problems with amazon, since the one time I ordered from the .co.uk site, I had a really bad service. I had to e-mail them 3 times before they shipped my order (a book that was preordered 3 months in advance and they take over a week before shippingit when it is released. And they said I'd have it before it'd be in stores. huh.) plus, the box it came in? Was falling apart and it's a miracle the book came out not too much damaged. So I no longer have an acount there XD. I was also pissed that they put an extra tax on my order because I live in the EU... while all the time I believed that england also is part of the EU and thus they cannot overtax other residents of the EU *snort*.
Anyway, I do have an evil site that I check sometimes to see what they have and then order things x.x baaaad. Although, I haven't ordered too much this year.
Amazon.com over here is pretty good. At least it sounds like it is compared to the UK's amazon (for which I've heard several complaints, first from Verena, and now from you, and probaby from other people along the way). We get a new box every time, and currently they're suran-wrapping the products really tightly together along with adding the occasional big bubble thingies to keep them from shifting much during the trip. Course, I've never gotten DVDs from there, which is what I hear most people complain about. So, who knows.
...bubble wrap? They use bubble wrap over at amazon? Cause uh, they forgot to do so with my order lol. But yeah, I was a little dissapointed when I used their service to order a book. The site I order dvds from has so far been good, for dvd and ps2 games that is. They've recently started selling books as well, so I preordered harry potter there. I'll see how it goes. The price was about 2 pounds higher than with Amazon, but the price they list is the final price, delivered and all. I calculated that if I'd order with amazon again it would cost me more. huh.
not so much 'bubble wrap' as 'smallish sealed plastic bags filled with air'. They're about 7 to 8 inches long (give or take... I imagine it depends on the size of the box), maybe 5 inches wide (filled with air, take up about 4 inches of space), and they're like... sectioned together, so... ::shrugs::
