The "History" option when you are a registered member at AO3 is dangerous, yo. I went in there trying to find one of the stories I know I read and enjoyed, but which I never got around to linking in my LJ (apparently, as I can't find it amongst ANY of my fic recs. My life, so hard), and three (four?) hours later, I have about a dozen stories that ( Read more... )

History?

how long do you have to be a member before this is an option available? Because there's some hella sweet and hot stories that I wish like hell I could find again.

Hmm. I'm not sure, I suppose it could be one of those beta things that they're trying out on me and a few hundred/thousand others before making it available to the rest of the site - I only noticed it myself a few months ago. I get there by hovering my mouse over the "Hi, Rensong!" buttonish thing in the upper right (next to "Post" and "Log Out"), waiting for the drop down menu, and then selecting "History". Though I gather it can only keep track of your history when you're logged in.

Also, because I found the fact amusing and there are so few amongst my friends who can appreciate the sheer quantity of Fic I've read and how absolutely, positively, I have fallen harder for the Avengers fandom than I have ANYTHING ELSE, EVER - of those 660 fics I found in the aforementioned History? 33 pages worth, 20 fics per page... and like 95% was Avengers stories. I joke about it being addiction, but now that I've seen the numbers, it's less of a joke an more of a fact of life. :)

Well, I guess I know where I am going to try to find those fics I can't find a bookmark to...

A public service, dear Rensong, :-)

If only my fic history was that short. I've viewed 289 pages of fic since either 2009 or 2010. It's amazing I ever get anything done.

Word, yo. So much Word. I simply cannot imagine my life without a constant supply of fic anymore, though I imagine I would've been a hell of a lot more productive when I was in school without this particular addiction. :)

Yeah college might have gone a little smoother if I hadn't had the distraction of fic. But I need my fix everyday.
