While I can appreciate music in a show (and this is only the Main Title Theme so I'm not sure that generalization even counts) it's not enough to make someone watch a show that's only subpar! Why bother calling it "emmy nominated"?? I guess it looks fancy but people can just look it up and see the dirty truth lol

It is probably *entirely* an effort to get people to watch a show that is only subpar. Think about it - people like us, computery types, will most likely go and look up something like that because that is the wonderful world of internet geekery. However, if you're just your average Joe who uses the computer to check email and word process, and you've never seen the series before, catching an "Emmy nominated!" comment while you're just surfing channels or waiting for your sci-fi B-Movie to re-start, they might actually go "Huh, I guess it must be good then if it was nominated for an emmy," and give the show a shot.

Of course, if you like sci-fi B-movies, which are well known for their cheese and predictability, you may actually end up loving the show and keep watching anyway. ;)
