On shopping and school supplies

Went shopping today - I've been looking for niceish, button-up short sleeved shirts I don't hate to wear over my tank tops for at least a month or two, and I also wanted to go looking for one of those sun shades you put in your car to keep it from getting to a billion degrees inside. I have absolutely nothing against chemistry. Actually, I think it is pretty darned neat and it shows you how to make cool explosions.

No, my joy at never having to take a chemistry test again is entirely based on how *I* never have to take a chemistry test ever again, not the science itself. I soooo don't have the head for chemistry - no matter how much I studied, I still bombed every chem test I ever took (and trust me, I *studied*; I studied my ass off, spent countless hours at the library studying, and then I went home and studied some more, and still no joy), and as someone not used to failing, this frustrated me. A lot.

So, no, I have nothing against the science itself... As long as someone *else* is doing it.

I don't have a mind for biology. I personally rock chemistry (calculus and physics too...). Maybe it's simply because I have a head for numbers...

I actually was pretty good at biology - usually hovering around the B+/A- range on the grading scale - but it was never something I really enjoyed, I only took the classes because I had to. Never had to take calculus thankfully because I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have ended well, either. Physics I could take or leave - I did get an A in the introductory course I took my first year or two of college, but I also had an insanely easy teacher who was probably way too easy on us
