Got another winter storm. This one deposited about 5 inches of wet, packy snow. Now I want to make a snow man.

Also, it is weird that it is 6:30 and still daylight outside. Darned Daylight Savings Time.

Daylight saveings has never saved me daylight OR electricity. I've always been awake in the mornings when it's still dark, gotta turn on the lights. And it's not until mid-summer when I'm not up after dark, more lights. Seems silly to mess with my sleep twice a year for the sake of "efficency".

Ben Franklin had lots of good ideas. This was not one of them.

It is a bit annoying, yes? Since my classes start at 9, I'm usually up early anyway so, as you said, more lights. Also, if there is lots of light coming into my bedroom window, I am more likely to get irritated and just get up rather than stay in bed - alas, now I don't have that anymore. It's still dark at 7:00 and I have no motivation to get up.

I am a bit happier that I won't be walking home so close to sunset after my later days, though. Wednesdays especially - last few weeks I haven't really gotten out of the building until 5, and by that time the sun is going down and so are the temperatures and riding the bus makes me motion sick, so I try and avoid it if at all possible.
