I'm saying a lot of goodbyes as of late.  Some are hard to take... some scare me... some give me hope.  I had to say goodbye to two very dear friends that Sarah and I had the good fortune of hosting for a little over a week.  I'll see them as they stop by on their way back through

when that happened to my old computer, i couldn't find words to express how devastating losing a bunch of virtual possessions could be. but you likening it to losing a house is a a really good analogy.

anyway, you may be able to retrieve your youtube videos. my brother and i use vixy.net. you navigate to the youtube page with your video on it, copy the url from the address bar and plug it in at vixy.net. then it converts the flash video from youtube to an avi, mp4, whatever.

it's a little finnicky, sometimes you have to try the same video multiple times, but it'll eventually work.

By the way, I should have some of your videos on my hardrive. As I recall, I actually have the large, non-internet download version of smugglin' on my external. I'll have to check when I get home.
