I don't expect to be laid off and our Dean here hopes that the wage cut will be stratified, meaning that the lower paid employees are hit less hard and the higher paid employees take more of a hit. I think that employees making under 50k should be exempt. That is just ridiculous.
I took a voluntary START reduction to see if that would give me an exemption from this. I figured I could afford the minimum there. See what happens.
Given the layoffs all over, I will be happy to stay employed. I will also be updating my resume and looking around too.

I agree that the wags cuts should be stratified....under $50K 2% (would like exemption here truthfully), and spread out evenly until 8% is reached for the top levels.
