So I went to my first day of senior project class and as my prof. was lecturing on how we SHOULD be working on something already and we SHOULD have this and that, I panicked because I had absolutely nothing but research and ideas and was forced to blurt out something when he got to me. And magically, I had a project. *sigh* I can't complain. I have

Oh sushi....... man I've been a bit wary of sushi ever since I had a California roll and got sick. Apparently my body hates avocados, who knew? Can you recommend me some good non-avocado sushi?
Actually my friend has hearing. She's one of the most independent, reliable people I know. She can kick my ass ten times before I hit the ground.( She's a Tae Kwon Do blackbelt.) So, she can take care of herself just fine. And if their hearing is that bad, why don't they just get a hearing aid? They're treating hearing loss like they're an amputee or something!

Ah, California roll huh? Well maybe you can ask for it without avacado? Or you can get a cucumber roll which is just cucumbers with the rice and seaweed. I'm also a fan of tuna rolls.
Well hearing aids aren't always 100% and there are some ppl that wear them but even with them on, they don't restore very much. Luckily I'm one of the few that has loss that's barely noticeable so I can get by without even wearing 'em but I end up missing things which is why I should get 'em, at least for class. And that video was the worse, wasn't it? They treat us like we're missing a brain, not hearing loss. It's stupid.

I think it's cheating to get sushi without seafood in it... or at least imitation seafood. But tuna doesn't sound to bad. :)
I'm glad to hear that your hearing loss isn't too severe (not that it doesn't suck to have hearing loss).
"Recognize that a hard-of-hearing person may experience frustration, anger, outrage, sadness or even despair when confronted by obstacles not dealt with by those with normal hearing."
>:I Of course it's upsetting when they have to deal with ignorant people who think they need to be babied 24/7. srsly.

I DIED when I read that message on the video. It was like, wow, so now hearing loss is like some sort of disorder, "Irritability, depression, frustration: If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you MUST have hearing loss GASP!" Here we are, the 50% of those on anti-depressants right hurrr, the hard of hearing! Idiots...
