I like it. It does a good job explaining why popular Jazz hangs out with loner Prowl. Nicely done.

Nice!
Most authors - that I've noticed - don't have Prowl as a Special Operations Agent. But he's perfect for this!
Lovely twist on that.

Jazz would be determined to learn which con was 'dumb' enough to help an elusive Autobot sabatour escape - and smart enough to figure out the mech was one of theirs, thus his choice to hack into the Spec-Ops files.
Poor Jazz, - not every mech has a file that is entirely accurate. He doesn't have one that tells the whole-truth-and-nothing-but-the-truth either.

This entire piece is wonderful.
It is the start of a very beautiful friendship.

I love Prowl as an Ops mech or at least as an outside influence to it.

heheh yeah, Jazz is just starting out, so there are somethings that escape him lol, but now they both have mechs they can learn from.
