Nair is a wonderful thing, but if you're going to use it, make sure that you haven't scraped your knee in the last few hours (just as an example, y'understand). Even if you didn't break the skin, that scrape will start screaming at you, and turn 17 different shades of red.

I realize that there are a lot worse things than having a stomach bug followed by throwing out your back on the week before Christmas - but when you're feeling crappy, it's hard to be philosophical.
