Lost in Austen

As a (former fanatic) fan of Jane Austen fanfiction I couldn't resist buying the DVD of "Lost in Austen" when I saw an advantageous offer on Ebay. I didn't expect much of it, hadn't really read about it, nor do I remember whether my friends wrote about it. Christina Cole as Caroline Bingley was great too (she was the nasty daughter in What a Girl Wants Where her mother was played by Anna Chancellor!

Indeed, who played Caroline Bingley herself in the BBC series. So funny, all those mothers and daughters acting the same part - although in this case it was just a movie daughter of course. ;)

Recently watched Rebecca with Emilia Fox as the second Mrs de Winter whose mum, Joanna David, played the same part in the early eighties (I believe) and who played Mrs Gardiner whilst her daughter played Georgiana Darcy in the P&P BBC mini-series. LOL

I thought the series was good fun, but quite silly... much like fanfiction that someone had put into production on TV. I enjoyed it for a distraction.
