I was certainly confused after reading Ryo's entry yesterday and thought maybe he was having girlfriend worries *aww, sweet*

It's definitely love between parent/child and hopefully husband/wife. Love of a different nature but still love between friends. And yes maybe it's "like" for boy/girlfriend. I feel love is a bond and a promise - you cannot really ever walk away from it.
Now you've got me rambling on too and probably confusing the issue even more.

It`s funny...He does that once in a while...I mean, gets all philisophical and thoughtful like that. It`s fun, but he almost always gets me thinking afterwards! lol *kicks him*

Nono please ramble! I was hoping people would! I feel the same way about the word `love`...Which is why I felt so weird putting `I <3 Yoko!` on an uchiwa...I mean I do, but it was weird to broadcast it... lol *is weird*

Love is very hard to express clearly...Which is eternally frustrating! >.<

I`m glad that people were really thinking about it! Ryo certainly made me think...!

Indeed...He`s really damn good at that! @_@

And again, I agree with you! Love is something that is more than words...But at the same time, it`s nice to HAVE a word. :D

haha This Ryo's Jweb made my friend crazy about someone that ryo referred to..
I thought he extremely fell in love.XD

Back to your question.
For me,I don't tell "love" a lot because if you tell "I love you" often,I think it's unmeaning.Love is a powerful word so I don't want to say a lot.
About like,I think it has several meanings. It's not a powerful word.I could tell "like" a lot in a day.

Parents = I love you (Sure!! I love them.Although I don't talk a lot but my mother always knows I love her.)
Boyfriend-Girlfriend relationship = I like you (but I don't tell this word until I'm sure about his feeling.)
Husband-Wife = I love you
Friends = I love you (I think it's similar to parent.Friend don't need to say how much I love you.we always know each other about our feeling.)

May I ask you something? I read Yoko's Jweb in Binan no Nikki Translation Web and found that Yoko wrote "People who thought of". I have no idea who he refer to.Do you know?

I've thought about that quite often too, mostly because the word in Finnish is something you just never hear people say... And I don't really see myself saying it to anyone, ever, be it a friend, family member or a husband. No matter how much I loved someone I'd probably come up with another way to show it than say the actual word in Finnish. なんでやろう・・・
I could even say it in English or Japanese but just not in Finnish. Maybe it's just that typical Finns are supposed to be a bit shy and not express their feelings (which is also true) so saying it has become difficult?

When we were in Japan, this Hungarian couple talked to us at Emperor's Palace and asked my parents how many times in a day they say I love you to each others and they were like, um, never? XD

亮ちゃん、思っ!

Like I said too many times already - I don't mind if most of his jweb entries are short and basically "Genki? Ore mo genki! Bai" if sometimes he actually writes about what's bothering him ( ... )
