every time i am on wikipedia, i end up finding an entry where there is a quote and the periods or commas are placed outside of the quotation marks and i often spend an hour or more following links and correcting all the ", and ". i see.

I would like to believe it's British folks making those entries b/c they punctuate everything outside the quotation marks...but I bet it's not. Boohoo, America.

Maybe these entries were made by european people. We set punctuation outside the quotation marks.
