Renae! I'm not sure what they are called, but i think there are little plug-things that you can put in your lip instead of the ring if you are concerned about interviews.

i just did a round of interviews with my labret in & it seemed to be okay. but it probably depends on where you're interviewing (art student with a facial piercing interviewing at museums & bookstores is probably common, thankfully for me). you could always get a clear retainer if you wanted to play it safe.
