Recently my friend Nick discovered a technique of digital painting where instead of using Photoshop or Painter you use Illustrator. It's totally crazy because there's really no brush tool in Illustrator, the only thing you can really use is the path tool and just continually make shapes upon shapes and create an image using color and changing the ( Read more... ) -

Ellen Page as Jane Eyre?
Apparently a new Jane Eyre movie is being made to come out in 2009 and Ellen Page is playing Jane?? Whoa. Seriously didn't know this information.

Baaaacckk to Schhoool
So back at MICA already. Summer was seriously awesome and I miss it and everyone involved, but still, I'm glad to be back. The school-year is already alive and kickin' what with my 18 credits...ouch. I'm not completely hooked on this series yet. I felt very silly going over to the Young Adult section in barnes and noble to grab a copy. Icon tutorial : Ginger Snaps, vintage colouring
I love this sort of colouring, but sometimes it's not so obvious how to get it. Especially if a picture has really flat coloring to begin with. So for this tutorial I used this lovely screencap from the film, Ginger Snaps, a personal horror favoirte of mine, taken by Kriste's Gallery.
