Well, since more HP muses are starting to pop up in the comms where I write Remus and since people seem to be friending the journal instead of just reading the posts off the communities, I figured I'd toss some of my personal Remus canon out there for folks to read ( Read more... )

Tonks says that she wants me to write a quote from one of my favourite sci-fi writers... (Lois McMaster Bujold). The quote is from the novel Barrayar; dialogue between a man named Vordarian, and the main character, Cordelia Vorkosigan, discussing her husband.

"He's bisexual, you know."
"Was bisexual," she corrected absent-mindedly. "Now he's monogamous."

And now off I go to read the pieces themselves. But the point is, bisexual works fine for me (and Tonks). Depending on what comes around, she might have fun at school or shortly after too ;)

And ooohh so dark and lonely and confused and lacking in self-confidence... (and about so very close to where I was imagining him... I so know how the loss of his friends must have hit him. It'd be interesting to read what he's done between that and his appearance in the novels too, I think :D ;) )

He's veeeeery secretive about the time between James and Lily's deaths and when he taught at Hogwarts. Even just in my head when I let the muse out to talk to me, he won't say much. All I really get from him is that he was very unhappy and a bit self-destructive and it was rather a dark period for him. He doesn't like to dwell on it and he doesn't like to think where he'd be if Dumbledore hadn't stepped in.

Aww!! (Cue Tonks eager to hug and kiss him better... JUST in case you haven't noticed, she's somewhat enthusiastic. She doesn't like self-destructive though.)

(and your turn to tag on the Sirius thread, if you want to :D)

Oh, these are all lovely. Very lovely, and very well written, as is your other work. *Is now wandering your journal and browsing* You have a great grasp on the character.

And I for the record, have no qualms about Remus being bisexual. And neither does Sirius.

Oh, dear. Ignore most of the earlier stuff. I was so crap when I started out. XD Thank you, though. I've put a lot of thought into some of JRo's creations and Remus is one of the characters whose development in my head I'm particularly proud of. :)
