Ok a question for all of you...

Girls- would you date a guy who is shorter than you? How much shorter?

Boys- would you date a girl taller than you? How much taller?

Everyone's imput is welcome, I'm quite curious about the subject.

I tend to like really big guys...I was actually thinking about this at work today because I have nothing else to occupy my brain with. I realized that all of the guys I've liked were a lot bigger than me. I just feel really safe around tall or big guys. The only guy I can think of that wasn't significantly larger than me was Matt H., and it startled me constantly that he was pretty much exactly my size (but a little taller).

Since I'm only 5'5, I think it'd be hard to find a guy shorter than me to date, but I wouldn't let it stop me if I liked a shorter guy. It might cross my mind a few times at first that I was taller than him, but then I'd get over it.

yeah me being 5'9, I seem to have a knack for falling for guys shorter than me (around 5'6, 5'7ish).

i would, but he would have to be very confident and masculine. i realized recently that i give taller guys more leeway when it comes to masculinity and neuroses. i can't really explain why, but i think that there needs to be something very masculine in the guy i'm dating, whether his body or personality. i have both right now and i love it.

i don't know why i didn't mention this, but i think neema is 5'6, and i'm 5'6 and 3/4. regardless, i'm marginally taller. he says he's 5'8, and when he was 5'4 a few years ago he insisted that he was 5'6, but otherwise he is very confident and manly and it's awesome.

no, he deleted it. we're still pretty close, we have a strange relationship, not romantic and not friends in the conventional sense. it's just that with some people, you can tell them anything, but with him i don't have to say anything.

I don't think I've ever liked a guy shorter than me. I can only think of a few guy friends that are shorter than me, but I don't really see any of them in the romantic sense. I prefer my guys taller and slightly bigger. Ya know.. just enough to protect me and give me great big hugs. :)

I feel teh same way about the protection and great big hugs...but sometimes a connection with someone goes beyond their bodies, at least for me.

I know what you mean, and I'm not a strictly physical person either.. but I just haven't really felt anything for anyone who wasn't taller than me or didn't at least seem bigger. It's just.. the way my hormones work, I guess. LOL.

I might go for a girl a few inches taller than me. It's hard to say though because I don't really know any who are, though.

Hey not true, I fell for a very tall, very skinny guy this year: 6'2 and like 150-155 pounds.

To me it's not the body, it's who's inside it and how they "use" it, if that makes sense. I don't mean use it in a dirty way, just how they present themselves and their mannerisms.

Good question. I prefer guys taller than me...probably because I'm a little self concious at being SOOOOOOO tall and also because then it's comfortable being in their arms. And I like standing on my tippy toes if I kiss lol. And just cuddling n everything is easier. I've always preferred guys to be at least 2" taller than I am, I think evolution leads us to prefer taller males from a biological standpoint. And it's just more comfortable being able to lean against their shoulder or get enveloped in a giant hug or cuddling or sitting on their lap or getting kissed on the forehead, etc. Even just sitting side by side on the couch and kissing is easier...I wonder how guys feel about their gf's being shorter than they are-for me it would be awkward doing anything with anyone shorter than me. I dunno, maybe it's just our society. I'm definately a personality person, however I've only been attracted to those taller than me. *Shrugs*

Yeah, it's odd though, being a taller person myself, I've always been attracted to smaller guys. Who knows why. But in the end the person's personality decides it for me.
