So I actually found out there's an anime con in Michigan, called Youmacon. SOMEONE WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS convinced me to go and so I'm going to trawl/troll the lot of you to see if any of the rest of you are going/want to go. Maybe. I'd have to see how I am doing financially/transportation-wise (that last one is seriously important as I am not driving to Detroit with the tires that I have) before I committed to going.

Actually, scratch all that. I don't have the PTO to cover the days needed to make the trip worth doing, no offense.

Dude how did you not know about Youmacon until now.

I went one year with a buddy just to gawk at cosplayers. Heh. My students seemed to plan their lives around it, so maybe that's why I was always aware.
