To some extent I think you are creating a false dichotomy. (To put it another way: You can go out and do shit and still fool around with games on the Internet. You would just have to do it less often.)

One of the things that my father taught me, right, wrong, or indifferent, is that what you need to do in life is to find something that you love and can make a bit of a living at. Then do it, forever, without regrets.

I'm sorry, I must have put forth a point that I didn't want to make. That specific one applies to me in the exact way that you're saying. It's not that I will or plan to stop using the Internet and hanging out with all of my awesome friends here. It's that I need to make time to develop my real life and attend to business there as well.

I think you're absolutely right. I love doing what I have been doing. I won't stop doing it, but I might have to reduce my commitment levels in some places in order to make things happen the way I need them to.

In my specific situation, I need to make some changes in order to proceed.
