My guild is playing on Stormrage.

If you're interested in playing in a casual-friendly Alliance guild, check out Stormwind Keep, home of Militis Justica.

Edit: The server is an Eastern PvE server. PvP is available for those who want it, but you won't be getting ganked, at least.

Hmm...

I do like to play on servers with people that I KNOW...

Maybe I should go ahead and create my character there... At very least I'll be familiar with the playstyle, since AO has massive PvP zones and contageous PvP enablement.

Ganked = killed by a higher-levelled character. Like, a level 40 stomping out of the trees and chopping up a level 20. PvP server phenomenon.

A good example of a ganker is in AO, where mages are often forced to kite large numbers of mobs with AE spells, running like hell to avoid death, because they can't get teams (they hit comparativly hard, over a long stretch of time, but their attacks taunt the enemy HEAVILY, screwing up hate). A high HP profession (Enforcer aka Warrior) will get PvP flagged, and then get himself caught in the AE of a mage's spell while kiting, infecting the mage with the PvP flag in turn. He then reaches out, grabs the little mage, and pounds them into the ground.

And then steals their stuff.

Another classic example was where a guy with a long range weapon would camp a transport point in a PvP zone and shoot people with heavy damage attacks from extreme range as soon as they entered the zone, generally to go somewhere else.

And Stormrage isn't a PvP server. It's classified as 'Normal'

First of all, why would I want to play Alliance _anything_, and second of all, that icon is clearly the best thing ever.

This icon kicks total ass.

And you want to play Alliance because they have the noble Humans, brilliant Gnomes, stalwart Dwarves, and mystical Night Elves, wotking together to ensure a great and peaceful future.

Or it could just be because myself and my guild are playing Alliance. ;)

One nice thing about WoW.

LOTS of opportunities to create alts if you so desire.
