Oh, wow! Remixer, you ROCK. This was so beautifully done: you've recaptured the structure original story so well, and I think you managed to improve upon it substantially: you've condensed my original down to the bare bones, and the beauty of your prose and the sharpness of your imagery really brings all of those themes to the surface in a way I wasn't quite able to do. I feel like I did half as much with four times the words, because this is really sublime and perfect.

I love the concluding lines in Fraser's section: Space and time: two axes. Home is where they intersect. That's such a perfect way to finish. I also really like the way you've made the text fit on the page: two points of view, America and Canada, space and time, Fraser and Ray. Offsetting the whole thing with the Wells quotation was really inspired, too. I'm just so damn impressed by the way you were able to reimagine the original and say something new. It's fine work, and thank you so much for putting so much thought and effort into your remix.

♥♥♥

Thank you for writing such a lovely story and suggesting the initial imagery in the first place. I would never have imagined this idea without your seed.

I'm stunned by the sheer craft of this. You've distilled Nos' original down to its essence. And you've also added to it on another level, because you are using time (rhythym of the words) and space (on the page) to further add layers of meaning.

Truly gorgeous.

Thank you so much! And what an interesting perspective on the function of the structure - I didn't think of that, but you're right, by explicitly placing the words in a structured space, it emphasizes the elements of space and therefore also time. Cool!
