Seriously. rubynye says she has a Minoan AU for every fandom she writes in. Me, I don't usually write them down because my slave AUs tend to be completely implausible and gratuitous, but I sure do fantasize about them a lot.

Wow. I wasn't the hugest fan of the original, but this other take on it may have brought me around. I would love a story, I think, that explores a universe in which they really can't communicate, just like this. You make me want more!

Oooh, that is a lovely thought. I always like slavefic and cross-cultural stories but I think I'd have even more fun if I could get all linguistic with it. Someday I'll get brave and write more than a hundred words' worth of slavefic. Thanks!
