People constantly asked stupid questions with a show of superiority to try to conquer their own insignificance in the whole scheme of things.

Alien or not, it seemed denial was universal.

I really enjoyed these two lines in particular. I liked seeing all of this through Olivia's perspective.

I think this is a lovely turnabout. John's past is a mystery to Aeryn, but it's his present that is lost to Olivia, and seeing his world - his friends, his lover, his home - is only a fraction of what she wants. I like seeing Aeryn through her eyes, and Moya, who by herself is an amazing creature, and yes, John loves Moya, too - as a being, and as a ship of beautiful design.
