EEEE! I like this bunches! John really is a, "fuck this shit, let's cut through to what's really going on" sort of guy. And it turns my ambiguous ending into a satisfying one. The last line is awesome.

I like this a lot! The original is a good story, but it's cutting - it hurts. This is deeply satisfying :) And I like the counterbalance - of course John isn't much on the theory; it works really nicely with Rodney's changing theory/practice ideas from the original.
