Ray's on the phone, pretending he doesn't notice how angry Kowalski is as he stalks across the bullpen towards Ray's desk. Kowalski's probably mad that Ray left this morning while he was still sleeping, probably thinks it's because Ray’s freaking out that Kowalski was a guy.
It's not that.
It's because Ray wants Kowalski so goddamn much, so much he's afraid of it. Ray needs to know that this is real, that it’s not just sex. He knows, but he needs to know that Kowalski feels the same way.
So Ray keeps pushing, and waits for Kowalski to push back.
