This is the man who went to Hell to save your life, Sam thinks. And he is done.

Wow, the line gave me shivers. : ) I liked this. It's an interesting look inside Sam's addled, addicted little brain. I still feel for Sam though. On one hand I kinda hope that Dean makes him work a little for forgiveness, and on the other, I really just want them to be brothers again.

"You don't care," Sam says, daring Dean to say it again. Part of him, itching and warm and bittersweet at the back of his throat, believes it already.
This is pretty much the heart-rending core of Season 4, right here.
