Fascinating remix of the original. I like your use of mystery, and I love how you weave the whole idea of fate and free-will together. It actually reads something like a toss-up whether Clotho pulled the threads, or if Ellen did it herself.

Which, hopefully is what you intended.

A good read, solidly written, nicely plotted, and a good use of mystery. Thank you.

I'm pleased that you think this utilized mystery well. I liked the ambiguity, in the original, of whether or not Claudia did pull the threads, so that was something I really wanted to keep. Thanks for commenting!

I really liked the way you wove the three fates into this, and how natural the hitchhiking scenes seemed and also framed the main part of the story.

The framework was important to me, since I really wanted to explore where Claudia had come from and where she was going. I was really drawn to her, since I love mythology, and it was a pleasure expanding on the concept of the Fates from the original story. Thank you for commenting!
