See, I was rather fond of my own library ships - and then you went and made steampunk library AIRSHIPS and all I can think at the moment is awesome!

I hope you realize I love this remix to bits? The whole steampunk version, it just works :-)

"'I'll hear your tales of Spain and stranger lands, and lean over you while you talk, and kiss your mouth--'" he proceeded to do just that, then tugged James down until they both tumbled onto his sheets, "'and your laughing eyes.'"

James leaned over him, searching his face for something. Jack swallowed and finished, "'And of all the world's happy men, who shall be happier than I?'"

You just woke up one morning and decided to rock my world, didn't you?

♥ ♥ ♥

P.S.: My heartfelt empathy wrt the heat. I know the feeling all too well!

EEE. Continuing my slightly mad ramble/babble about these fics... LOVED the characterization, the Sparrington-ness. It definitely speaks to both the writers and the pairing that you both make the pairing ring true, make the characters ring true, no matter the setting.

And that goes for your other fic, as well. xP

But I will say, I liked the feel for the setting that I got from the previous one and Oneiriad's original better. But that's just cause I'm more into the 'genuine' future sci-fi sort of thing versus the 'genuine' steampunk.

Although this line made me grin like an idiot: "Her Royal Imperial High Majestyness Queen Victoria May She Ever Reign Eternal If Her Flesh-Docs Have Anything To Say About It". So very Jack. So very funny. So very bloody brilliant! Great job. ^_^

And I think it came through. ^_^ And now that I think on it, I see what you mean about it being the Fun Story - the other one did rather have layers of angst, didn't it?

I did. ^_^
