OH DUDE, DUDE, DUDE. YOU HAVE MADE ME SO HAPPY.

Things I especially like:
--The back to front sequence of events. Non-linear narratives (or linear-but-reversed ones like this) are one of my favorite fiction tricks :)
--The adaption of the original plot to fit in with S4 canon! I wrote the original commentfic long before Journey's End--before S4 actually--and so of course it had been jossed once S4 actually started up. I like how you made it work with canon, with the bits from The Doctor's Daughter and Planet of the Ood and all.
--Related to the above, by making this work with canon you found a way to... well, if not exactly fix Donna's head, then at least give her a life of awesome adventures post-Journey's End. THIS MAKES ME VERY HAPPY. Journey's End was probably the most kick-you-in-the-teeth of all of RTD's downer endings, though of course there's some stiff competition out there. (ETA: Even after COE it's still one of the most kick-you-in-the-teeth, anyway.)

YOU LIKED IT!!!!!

YEY!!!!!!

::runs around the room in glee::

One of the cool things I liked about Donna was that she wasn't paired up with the Doctor in canon. But after reading your stories I can totally see something happening with a different regeneration.

Even after COE it's still one of the most kick-you-in-the-teeth
Absolutely. With Ianto - poor Ianto - he had been out there being awesome. but Donna had just found out how awesome she could be, then it was ripped away from her.

Having said all of the above--and I do want to stress how very much I like the fic you made for me--I think you should probably know that there are quite a few punctuation errors in this story. Most of them have to do with the punctuation of dialog. For instance:

“Donna Noble.” She said as the most becoming blush spread over her cheeks.

This should actually be:

“Donna Noble,” she said as the most becoming blush spread over her cheeks.

And there are some misplaced periods and commas scattered all over the fic.

I'm not saying this to be mean! I love what you've done with this fic. I didn't even notice the errors until my second reading. But, well, I do some modding at Teaspoon And An Open Mind and one of the results of that is that I notice things like this all the time. I really like this fic and I would love it if you put it on Teaspoon after the big reveal, but as it stands right now we wouldn't let it through the Queue, because of all the punctuation errors. And that sucks, because this fic is great ( ... )

I'm not pissed at all. I stink at grammar and the only beta help I could find the day before the deadline could only offer plot help.

Oooh, this is wonderful! I really like the original story, and this put a very different spin on it. Awesome work, remixer!

the triple losing really, really works, with the doctor unable to say how much it means each time (stupid web of time). i also love that tiny moment you've written in 'planet of the ood' where she almost realises and then doesn't - so sad. it did take me two readings of this to get it completely, but i enjoyed it a lot.
