I love the positive spin you put on this moment.

People say stupid things without thinking all the time in high-stress situations, and here Keller is doing the same thing without adding a "bitchy" or necessarily selfish cast to it. She spoke without thinking, and even though she knew that it caused irreparable harm to her reputation and her relationships, she immediately went to work to do what she could to help.

Nice character piece, solidly written, and one that reads true-to-life and very human.

Thanks so much for the lovely comment - human is exactly what I was aiming for in this remix. It was such a difficult situation all the way around.

Oh, this is so poignant and so sad, especially the very ending.

As avid McShep fan as I am, the original left me feeling sorry for Jennifer and I was pleased I could present her side in the remix, even though it was very sad for her. Thanks so much for commenting!

I liked where you went with this - showing us the other side.

Having suffered from foot-in-mouth disease myself, it felt natural to try to mitigate the fallout for her. Thanks!

I love what you did with Keller, made her more real and sympathetic. Showed her professionalism and disappointment.

I enjoyed the opportunity to explore how things happened for the woman who'd managed to make it so far professionally yet sadly, and likely inevitably because of Rodney and John, failed personally. Thanks!

Wow, that's a nice take on Keller during the whole mess! I especially like how she doesn't need to be told she said something unforgivable, and how you make her the one who makes it possible for Rodney to sit with John after surgery. Yay!

Thanks for giving me a story I could really play with - so I could explore how a professional like Jennifer could end up with such a spectacular failure personally. I liked being able to present her side and I'm glad it worked for you. :-D
