You know, you picked the story that I personally think is the only one of my X-Files stories that is even remotely written with any kind of polish. It's a personal favorite of mine that I re-read often.

I love how you focused in on the concept of the possibilites and then showed them to us, in the alternating viewpoints. It has that feel of a 'things' story, too, which is a format I really love.

My favorite section is number three. It's so bitter and so heart-breaking and yet such a fascinating glimpse of one of those possibilities.

But the thing I really like about this, is that you did something I couldn't when I wrote the original...you showed us what happened after Mulder goes to his room, and in doing so you tie it back to the beginning of the episode. That's why I love your title so much, because you illustrate that concept so well in your story. It's also really beautifully written and it makes my shippy heart happy.

It is awesome, just like I thought it would be! Thanks so much. I love it lots!

This is really, really fantastic. Section 2 really broke my heart. I think you did a fabulous job remixing a fabulous story!

I liked this so much! It's been forever since I've read good X-Files fanfic, but this and the excellent original have gone a long way to make up for that. Some of these scenarios made me smile; others were a little heartbreaking; but they were all entirely realistic and believable. Thank you!
