Yeah, yeah, commentary will be coming as soon as assignments of death stop trying to eat me. :P

And yes, this Wilson's one of my favorites, too. I think she has the capacity to be happy at the very least, which may not be true for all Wilsons.

I was knocked off my feet by this. I read the original when it was first posted (and I've written a "Wilson becomes a woman" fic myself), and it never occurred to me that the change of gender was anything but temporary. Then you gave us a new look at the scene in the Clinic with the questioning boy, and I was astonished, right along with Wilson. It made so much sense, once the idea was presented ( ... )

Thank you! Yeah, the idea for this story wasn't to contradict the original, but to sort of recontextualize it with a different set of circumstances.

And yes, I do think there's a happier ending for her out there, and I'll probably end up writing it. Eventually.

This is amazing, how Wilson comes to terms about being transgender, then reverting back to a male at the end. You handled this deftly and delicately. Lovely.
