In general the FLs I own are for characters I'd also eventually like to make shrines for (DEAR GOD I RUN KEN, SHINJI, AND AKIHIKO LMFAO I HAVE MY WORK CUT OUT FOR ME) anyway, haha. I feel guilty when they're just fanlistings with no shrine attached because somehow in my mind I feel like that's disrespectful towards one of my favorite characters. ;; I used to run a few really sought-after FLs but when my shrine didn't match up to the subject or when I couldn't even finish a shrine, I ended up adopting them out. I HAVE A WEIRD SHOUNEN MANGA-LIKE MENTALITY ABOUT THIS, LOL. |D;
It does! Since switching to it, I can't seem to use other coding apps at all. ;; Though I have Transmit now to use for uploading lots of stuff, etc., I still like using Coda a lot.
Welcome to the community Lore, it's awesome to have you here!! I hope you'll enjoy your stay ♥
I suck when it comes to write long things in english (my tl;dr skills just work with spanish) so I don't have too much experience with emphasizing textual content other than maybe Alto (XD) and now my domain! Hopefully I'll be able to learn more about it from you guys! :D
I use CS5 too but dw for html since I'm a windows user (and I abuse of auto complete) but I can understand how you feel about re-using code since I feel the same, I just write everything even if the thing I want to do is similar to what I've done before!
Haha the best way to learn is to practice. :P Just write and write and eventually you'll get the hang of it.
Coda also has auto-complete code and stuff, but somehow I feel like I'm cheating when I use that, haha. Not like my layouts are all that complex, anyway, aside from the odd font definition.
Hey there! o/ Aww. I guess I can understand how that feels. I kind of miss my domain already, but it's good to start a new chapter in my (design?) life. ♥
Hi Lore! I've always admired your shrines even if they're not subjects I'm into or familiar with (though a favorite shrine of yours is Munich for Kyouya! ;D) ♥ I do love your new domain name though, it's such a catchy phrase

Sorry for the super late response! I've been really busy the last several days. @__@ But thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my shrines. I need to seriously work on them, though, haha. They're in such states of disrepair that I feel bad. /)_

Hello Lorelei, it's nice to meet you :D PLEASE IGNORE MY LATE COMMENT, I'm always dragging my feet behind me idek. It's good to see people who have been in the game for a long time :D I really admire your drive for making shrines - honestly I wish I could be more productive, but I'm usually all over the place when it comes to articulating my thoughts! I'll echo what Aku said - fanlistings are a great way for me to design and make layouts without spending too much time XD
I haven't heard of Coda, I'll have to give it a try! :o /still noob at making sites with Mac even though I've been using it for years nowwwwww idkkkk
Hey there! /o/ Haha IT'S OKAY can't be late to an introduction. xD I used to be a lot more productive with shrines to the point where my friends would use me as an example. XD In my heyday I'd make 4 or 5 a year, but now I haven't made a new one since 2009, which is pretty sad, and in a fit of annoyance I deleted a lot of my shrines that weren't up to my standards. |D; So now I have a petite, more normal collective of 4 shrines instead of the 10+ I had before. But at least I can say that I'm really proud of those 4 shrines, which is great. :Db
I envy people who can design a lot of different layouts and make them look good and different from each other, haha. I prefer the writing process over the design process, so fanlistings usually just don't do it for me (also, again, I'm just really lazy about updating them), but I like looking at other people's. :D There's such talent just within remixers alone
