Thank you!

I'm so glad you liked it and that you got a good impression of the characters. I don't usually write with flashbacks, so this was a little outside of my comfort zone. I'm glad it worked for you.

Oh, geeze. There's no way that I can leave you a coherent review in my current afterglow of joy from reading this, so until I can come back later I will just have to say: eeeeeeeeeee I love this and GOOD LORD DO I COVET YOUR LOIS CHARACTERIZATION.

So, I totally failed at giving you better feedback before the reveal, but mainly because writing this good always makes my brain go in a loop and words seem to fail me. And I was procrastinating because I knew this would turn into an essay. (You're about to see why often I lurk on your journal instead of leaving you comments; the level of my fangirling over writers I like can get really scary. *g*)

On the overall, this is just an amazing piece of fiction. The pacing and the structure of narration works perfectly for the progression of the story, and the writing style just really gave the whole thing such a strong sense of Lois. The dialogue and character interactions really couldn't have been better, and the character history!--oh, the history ( ... )

"Is this for your comfort, or for mine?" Showing up newly engaged and obviously carrying a child would be as good as hanging a sign around her neck: RICHARD WHITE'S MISTAKE (no matter that it wasn't true) or simply GOLDDIGGER.
...unabashedly knocked-up and proudly ringless...
I don't have much to say to these other than: ♥! I think this is the point where I started thinking, Crap, this is making me want to write Lois, which I've never had the desire to do so before, and when it comes to me, the old adage that imitation is the highest form of flattery is *very* true.

Honestly, why anyone thought they could win a bitchy-remark contest with Lois Lane was beyond her.
LOL. *hearts snark*

...and all the hell that Richard - yes, Richard - used to raise.
Richard the hellraiser! Aww, this reminds me of What the World Needs Now.

Lois backhanded Richard on the arm. "Why didn't you tell me that part?" she demanded.Thing number 2398723948 I like about your writing: you capture the visual style of you source so well. I can picture--okay, ( ... )

Wow, thanks for all this detail! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and that it made you think about the characters so much. I originally signed up for this pinch hit because I thought it would make me feel slightly less guilty about not finishing the Richard story (and I was actually way tempted to use my fanon from that in the backstory here, but I thought that having Richard's ex be someone he met when he was a war correspondent in Europe would be too much of a giveaway :P ( ... )

Hehe, yeah, if you'd referenced that I definitely would have been like "Eeeee, it's my favorite fanon Richard!" But I'm glad you did decide to snag this one, even if I would love to see you finish What The World Needs Now.

Also, I would totally squee myself silly if you ever wrote Jason fic. Just so you know. ;)
