Oh! I really like this, the cigar box, and steady pressure Remus feels from all sides, and his fearful knowledge that there is another shoe and it will drop. Sigh. Poor boys.

This is brilliant.
The other newspaper, the organising spells, the growing distance between Sirius and Remus.
And the idea of real letters, the politically sensitive ones.
Oh, the way the war skews everything. The touch of menace in the original as a background everything.
