Ooh, I really like this. How much and how little it says. How you tie in the holidays, because the show doesn't really ever show Cuddy being Jewish, which, I think, is a shame.
It's true that the show doesn't give us much overt Jewishness to work with, where Cuddy is concerned. (Or Wilson, for that matter.) So I tried to find either holidays that she would be aware of (Passover, Yom Kippur) or to find ways of showing holidays rippling her life even though she may not know they're happening...I'm glad you enjoyed!
This was wonderful - I loved the allusions to Jewish tradition (although I don't know as much about that as I should), and the little insights into Lisa's character. It was full of things that would never have occurred to me about her and her life, but which completely rang true.
I don't read very much Cuddy-centric fic (being a die-hard House/Wilson shipper), but maybe I should start...
I don't read much Cuddy-centric fic, either; like you I'm here for the House/Wilson, or at least that's typically been the case. But I like Cuddy a lot, and it was really fun to get to spend some time inside her story. :-) Thanks for the kind words!
