::boggles:: OMG. OMG. You remixed my crackiest piece of crackfic and pulled it off. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am. This is a such a beautiful look at the story from the Gotham side. Wow.
I'm sorry, but I'm going to go boggle some more! I mentioned the bit where I'm impressed, right? Very cool :)
I have to be honest - when I got the remix assignment I panicked a little. You have such a spectacular body of work: warm, witty, funny, complex and dramatic, your stories have really set the standard in the DCU and I wasn't entirely comfortable remixing anything that was so perfect to begin with. I picked the House/DCU crossover because, aside from the inherent crackiness of the idea, the story is itself wonderfully layered. There was a lot of opportunity to find a little niche to work in because the story covers so much emotional ground for these characters. I could never have changed anything or even written a sequel since you did such a fantastic job to begin with, but I thought seeing things from the Gotham crowd's POV might allow me to tackle something new. It was a joy to write on this story and to remix one of your pieces, despite my original panic :-) I'm very glad you liked it, and thanks for coming up with something so fantastic and cracked-out and moving in the first place

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. marag did such a fantastic job with the original, and it's thrilling to know I managed to maintain the spirit of that piece.

Okay, I'm not quite done blushing, but I'll try to be coherent and thank you very sincerely for what you've said.
Nope, still blushing ;) Thank you, though. I really appreciate the compliments!
