From a Baltimore County Chick who has only been to the Preakness a few times...ever since they did away with BYOB in the infield, they are trying everything they can to get attendance back up.

The infield used to be an all day display of debauchery, but it got out of control (seriously, youtube Preakness Porta Potty races and beer can fights). Now they lure well known rock groups and have a bottomless cup ticket plan, but people were a bit pissed when they tried to get the crowd under control by not allowing BYOB.

The good part is that you don't have to fear for your life from all the insanely drunk asshats, and there's actually room to walk around. But the bad part is the Maryland Jockey Club doesn't make nearly as much money as they used to.

I always got tickets for the Grandstand or Clubhouse. I didn't want to risk my life among the drunken masses.

Regardless of appropriateness, a pegasus is a winged horse, so how does booze-man plus horse--a drunken centaur, at best--merit the "-asus" suffix?
