Today's daily post is a moddy post. I love doing daily posts--we've done one nearly every day since March 23, which is awesome--but I've been out of ideas in the suggestion post for a while, and I've also run out of new and creative questions to pose to the community. For now

How about "Laura sits down for a drink with _________", where ________ is a BSG character, other Mary character, other show character, real world leader, me, etc. Could be one post or several.

Poll idea: I know you're not a WW fan (which, seriously, what is WRONG with you, tea?) but there were some cracky fight club ideas a while back. Or maybe a Laura vs. Other Chicks From Sci-Fi fight club? (Pretty sure Seven of Nine could take her, though. Wait, did we do that? I am old and forgetful.)

Hmm, we could go holiday-themed, and do "What would you get Laura for her birthday/Christmas/Hannukah/insert holiday here?"

How about this:

We have a lot of writers and readers in this comm. (Duh, LOL.) Anyway, the drabble contest over at bsg_kink totally rocked, so what if we did a similar thing here? The kink one was rather epic, though, so you could do occasional mini-ones, maybe every fortnight or something (gives people time to write)? The drabbles wouldn't have to be R-rated, either, just focused on Laura. And maybe on set prompts, to control the scope (and preserve mod sanity!).

I love this idea, and I bet there would be enough interest. :) meryl_edan also suggested a fic exchange awhile back, but we waited on that idea--it seems like there have been so many fic exchanges going on lately and people might be getting worn down.

Ooh, fic exchange, good idea. But also, true about getting worn down. Plus, now I think about it, it's getting almost to the time of year when someone floats the idea of a secret santa over at adama_roslin. I've no idea whether that will happen this year or not, but it's another thing that will take people's time... :0

If you're concerned about people getting ficced out, maybe expand on zaleti's idea and include other media? For instance...

This week's theme is 'Laura & Billy'

Day 1: DISCUSSION - Why Laura never adopted Tory like she did Billy after he died, did she ever compare Lee to Billy, and how would Billy have fitted into her life once she and Bill hooked up.
Day 2: CRAZY POLL TIME.
Day 3: DRABBLES... but keep it clean!
Day 4: PICSPAMS.
Day 5: DRABBLES... but make it dirrrty this time!
Day 6: DISCUSS THE CRAZY POLL RESULTS.

Not very original but we could rehash some of the older posts. There are quite a few new members around who wouldn't have commented on the earlier posts. I'll keep thinking. Don't want to lose Remember Laura that's for sure. Thanks for a great community Iced Tea.

Hmmm... Maybe a LOL!Laura post where everyone could post Laura macros? (I'm thinking something like lolobama )

How about rec posts? One day you could ask people to link their favorite Laura fic, the next their favorite Laura videos, icons, fanmixes etc. And maybe a short description of why they love the fic, video, or whatever.

This is cracky and a day late, but I still think about Mary McDonnell getting her horoscope texted to her. Maybe just a poll question, but "What does Mary's horoscope say?"
