The first BSG thing I saw was "The Story So Far", so I knew that Laura didn't die before I went back and saw Epiphanies. I was glad, too - it made the episode a lot more enjoyable for all the Laura backstory with no worries!
I began watching so late that I knew that Laura not only recovered in Epiphanies, but was sick again with cancer, so I missed the whole "OMG she's dying, wait she's not, wait she is!!" thing real-time. In a way I'm glad I missed it, but in a way I'm sad I didn't experience the emo roller coaster.
Did you hear me the night Crossroads aired, screaming "NO! NO! NO!" at the TV when Lee sniffed the chamalla tea? (Which, still pissed at you, Lee. That was a toolish thing to do.) No? Just as well. Did it undercut the goodness of S3 healthy Laura to know it wouldn't last? Or did it make you less mad that S3 healthy Laura was so badly underused?
I didn't hear you that night. I hope you didn't hear me when I watched that ep, because when he outed her at the trial, I unleased a string of profanities that would have shocked most.
I think it did undercut the goodness of S3 healthy Laura a bit. When I saw her in UB, I knew she'd be in a wig in the next season, and it was pretty disheartening, actually. I probably would have enjoyed S3 Laura a lot more if I didn't know what was going to happen to her body, seemingly so quickly.
I'm still mad that healthy Laura was so badly underused.
Hmmm, that's a very interesting point you make about whether you would have started watching BSG. I might not have either... I think "Laura Roslin is so hot!!" was one of dashakay's key selling points when she was trying to convince me to watch the series.

I really hoped she was cured for good. Or thought if the cancer came back they could use the treatment again. I didn't think she'd get sick again.
It's funny because I went through them so quickly I don't think I spent much time wondering I just absorbed.
